A highlight of my trip are the waterfalls of Iguazu!
Eckdaten Iguazu
The waterfalls of the Iguazu River form a natural border between the region of Misiones in Argentina and Paraná in Brazil.
The entire complex consists of 20 large and about 255 small waterfalls, a natural spectacle that is sure unique in the world!
The individual falls are 64 to 82 feet high.
The Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls
With the purchase of the ticket you can visit the complex with 50 per cent discount on the next day. A tag is namely really too little to all corners of the Erkunden zu Iguazu Falls National Park.
There are three main routes, the Paseo Inferior, from where you can view the falls from below, the Paseo Superior to admire the view from the edge and the web of the Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat), in which the water most cases flow together in a circular arc.
Wirhatten to see the falls in two totally different states of happiness! The first day was a bit cloudy and the water flow would be moderate, on the second day when the sun they are almost overflowed because of the rain in northern Brazil.
Here the Iguazu river almost without water:
And here is the torrent of water the next day:
Thank God we did on the first day the crossing to the island of San Martin to the cases close to see, on the second day she was in fact closed because of high water.
While I was doing it on the second day, I did not make the optional navigation because the boat is not hard to get close to the falls because of the water masses.
Without a doubt the most impressive views of the Garganta del Diablo has, here overthrow the water masses with such force in the depth that it is really wet from the drizzle!
The Iguazu Falls are a must if you are traveling in Argentina or Brazil, more reasons to visit their place in the next few pages!
